Doxa: Jesus, the Bread of Life, Part 1 (Week 14)

In this very familiar story of Jesus, we find him feeding as many as 15,000 people with only 5 loaves of bread and a few fish. But these thousands of people were only following Him for the spectacular miracles he could perform and the material things He could give them. Jesus intentionally performed this miracle around the time of the Passover festival in order to directly challenge their worldview and reveal His true identity. Jesus creates conflict in our lives in much the same way today ... to challenge our earthly ways of thinking and reveal Himself more fully to us.
